My name is Ivan Marinković. I was born in Slavonski Brod. I currently live in Krakow, Poland. I am an electrical engineer by profession, but I have completed baccalaureate studies of the philosophy and religious sciences and received the title of univ. bacc. phil. et relig. I started working in Computer Science from a young age, and my father and brother are responsible for that. I gained my knowledge through will, work and creative learning, and gained many years of experience.
I’m very interested in art. At first, I wrote blogs and designed them for people, and then went to web design when I was only 10 years old. Five years later, I got serious about computer programming, so I was developing software for computers and smartphones. In addition, I was a private servicer with my father and brother in Županja.
Enthralled by Computer Science, I enrolled in technical high school. And I successfully completed it in four years and got the professional title of electrical engineer. And I thought that would be my profession.
But in my second year of high school I experienced a personal encounter with God at Modrave – a youth camp. I was encouraged by the Jesuit Father Ivan Ike Mandurić, and by participating in parish activities, I realized that I wanted to be a priest in the Society of Jesus.
After high school, I joined in Jesuits Novitiate in Split, where I stayed for two years. After Novitiate, I completed three years of philosophy and religious sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Sciences at Jordanovac in Zagreb, Croatia.
I am currently on a mission and regency in Krakow as a promoter of spiritual vocations for the Southern Province of the Society of Jesus (PME). My main job is to prepare young boys who feel they have been called to a priesthood and monk life. In addition, I conduct spiritual exercises for young people between the ages of 15 and 25 in Szkoła kontaktu z Bogiem (Prayer School) program with Fr. Wojtek Werhun.
I opened this official blog 10 years ago and it was closed for a while due to various opportunities and difficulties, but now I have re-opened it in order to regain my online presence and share the word of God with people. Since I am fluent in three languages and participate in various international events, I have opened this web site in three languages, among which English is the official language, with Croatian and Polish in addition. You can read more about who I am, how I live with God through the revelations I will share with you.
Thank you for visiting me online. Share it with your friends and let’s pray together for our life, happiness, family, friends and everything else we keep in our heart. At the end of the day, let us not forget to thank God for all we have received.
